With the dryrot abatement complete, framing of the deck could begin. James and Liz a wanted a little pizzazz added to the new deck but were limited by the underpinnings and foundation to how big a space we could build on. The design we came up with extended the deck about five feet beyond the old footprint and we added a soft bow at the outer rim. A new beam replaced the old rotten timber and we took exceptional care with waterproofing the new joists.
